Your handwriting -> a font

Go to http://www.yourfonts.com/ and follow the easy instructions to create a font based on your own hand writing. The only requirement is that you have a scanner. It took me five minutes to create one that looked EXACTLY like my own handwriting, except that it was all online and not really messy. I only did the first page, but you have the opportunity to create an entire font of your own. If nothing else, it makes neat letters home.

note: the post from Lifehacker.com (that I saw this at) has made it so popular, you may have to try more than once - it's worth it!! :)

Question
Thanks to this great service I'm now the proud owner of a font of my handwriting, but how do I use the signature?
Answer

Just type the caret character ^ and you'll see your signature. On most keyboards the caret is located on the same key as the number six, so you just have to hold down the Shift key, and then press the 6 on your keyboard. If nothing happens then most likely the caret is employed as a so called dead key. You then need to type the caret followed by a space.
