You have to watch this video until she starts singing to understand. Rethink what you think about things - accept you're wrong and see the world as an amazing place that you've been too cynical to appreciate. This should erase some of the callousness built up from reality TV.

edit: watch it again after you finish the first time. Honestly, you owe it to yourself to see her (and you) through new eyes. Listen to the judges echo what you thought before. Last thing they say before she starts, "Ok, big song . . . " waiting to hear her fail.
